My Fellow Rotaractors in District 2450,

Greetings…

As a start, I want to say that it is a great pleasure for me to represent all the nine countries in our district through the humble position of DRR. Our district is a unique one as all of you know and brings together a lovely group of people with different languages, accents, and cultures and of course backgrounds.

"Back to Basics" is my theme for the Rotarian year 2008/09, where the aim of my team is to have an approach in which we can greatly affect the standards in which all of us as Rotaractors operate.

Rotaract is a professional organization and well known with the great service it carries out towards the community. All professional organizations, profitable or non-profitable, have got guidelines and principles and procedures which they follow. Rotaract for sure has got all these guiding principles in order for us to follow and be a successful organization which we are all proud to belong to it.

These guidelines and procedures are all very easily found through our Handbook, Statement of Policy and By-Laws. And if more help is required, I am sure all senior Rotaractors who are very well experienced will be more than willing to help.

Let us as Rotaractors of District 2450, be able to have a lovely mark in the international Rotaract organization as a whole and more largely in our societies through following the simple basics which can have a significant effect in all what we do.

Finally, let us all go back to basics to bring back our harmony together.
Let us go back to basics to develop our selves and our communities.
Let us go back to basics to serve the community we live in.
Let us go back to basics to understand what it means to be wearing the pin of Rotaract.
Let us go back to basics to have a united district free of any conflicts.
Let us go back to basics to be one large family.
Let us all be proud Rotaractors by working on the basics.
